Named to the list for the 2nd consecutive year, NYC-based public relations company ranks No. 4029 with a three-year growth percentage of 119%
NEW YORK, August 16, 2022 – FischTank PR, a leading public relations and marketing firm spanning sustainability/cleantech, B2B technologies, healthcare/biotech, and real estate and professional services, today announced it has been named to Inc. Magazine’s annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. FischTank earned the rank of 4,029 with a three-year growth percentage of 119%. It is the second consecutive year FischTank has received the honor.
The list represents a one-of-a-kind look at the most successful companies within the economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent businesses. Facebook, Chobani, Under Armour, Microsoft, Patagonia, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.
“We are very appreciative of our clients who trust us with their PR and media relations needs, as well as the professionals at FischTank PR who execute and care about the work they do each day,” said Eric Fischgrund, Founder and CEO, FischTank PR. “We are especially proud to work with brands steeped in industries like cleantech / sustainability, B2B tech, healthcare and other innovative categories that positively impact the world and its citizens. Their collective vision and the opportunity to work with them each day is nothing short of inspiring.”
FischTank’s growth was supported by its increased penetration into high value verticals such as sustainability/clean tech, B2B technologies like AI, ML and robotics, and health and bio technologies. The NYC-PR agency also grew its team significantly, including a 40% increase in headcount in 2021 alone.
“We’re excited to be named a fastest growing company once again, but even more so because that growth means we’ve not only added more great clients to our roster, but many talented PR professionals have joined FischTank as well,” said Matt Bretzius, Partner and President at FischTank PR. “The business growth has also enabled us to put more emphasis on mission-focused activities like nonprofit and charitable work, and to try and match the impact that our clients make on a daily basis. We appreciate all of the hard work from the FischTank team who have contributed to this recognition and look forward to continuing the support of the great work of our clients moving forward.”
Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region and other criteria, can be found at www.inc.com/inc5000. The top 500 companies are featured in the September issue of Inc. magazine, which will be available on August 23.
“The accomplishment of building one of the fastest-growing companies in the U.S., in light of recent economic roadblocks, cannot be overstated,” says Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc. “Inc. is thrilled to honor the companies that have established themselves through innovation, hard work and rising to the challenges of today.”

More about Inc. and the Inc. 5000
Methodology
Companies on the 2022 Inc. 5000 are ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2018 to 2021. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2018. They must be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2021. (Since then, some on the list may have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2018 is $100,000; the minimum for 2021 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons. Growth rates used to determine company rankings were calculated to four decimal places. The top 500 companies on the Inc. 5000 are featured in Inc. magazine’s September issue. The entire Inc. 5000 can be found at http://www.inc.com/inc5000.
